Each week, AEDH releases a Newsletter focusing on European News regarding Human rights.
The AEDH organises its annual General assembly in Brno, Czech Republic, on 28 and 29 April 2012. On the 27 April, it will also organise, with the Czech Helsinki Committee, its annual seminar on “Roma in Europe”.
The AEDH asks MEPs to disapprove the new EU-US agreement, concerning the transmission of data of passengers travelling to or from the US (PNR) to American authorities. It doesn’t offer enough safeguards for data protection and privacy.

The Spring Social Conference, gathering trade unions, non-governmental organisations and social movements, took place in Brussels at the end of March 2012. At the end of the Conference, a political declaration was adopted.
AEDH and the Czech Helsinki Committee (CHC) deplore that the European Parliament rejected the guidelines laid out in the first report submitted by Andrew Duff, Member of the European Parliament (ALDE – UK) on the implementation of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union in the Czech Republic.
On March 29th 2012, the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons of the Council of Europe adopted the provisional version of its report “Lives lost in the Mediterranean Sea: who is responsible?”.
