Bridges, not weapons! Press conference on 24 June

24 April – It is estimated that over 20,000 people have lost their lives along Europe’s borders over the past 20 years, with almost 2,000 of them perishing in the Mediterranean since the start of 2015. The Member States of the European Union (EU) will address the issue of these repeated tragedies at the 25-6 June European Council meeting. Therefore, the AEDH and other organisations have set up a press conference on June, 24th to present their European appeal for a migrant, asylum-seeker and refugee reception policy.

REMDH calls for the protection of Human Rights’ activists and for a restrenghened link between societies north and south of the Mediterranean

June 16th, 2015 : During its 10th General Assembly, the Euro-mediterranean human rights network (REMDH) adopted its final resolution. REMDH conveys its concern regarding the tragic events that happened in the Mediterrean recently, as well as regarding the treatment of the numerous refugees that came in Europe to seek a safe place to live.
